Back to Work!

Bummer, my 2 month leave from work is over. It went by so fast. Ryler is now 9 weeks old, and I went back to work on Tuesday, Jan.6Th. In a way it's nice to be back at the hair salon, I feel productive but I really miss the lazy days at home this winter spending time with Ryler. My first day back was very long. I was gone from my baby for 9 hours that day, luckily I was very busy so I didn't really have time to think about how much I missed him. I also knew he was in good hands with my sister Stacie. I have a great schedule though so that really helps and I'm only going back 3 days a week. This week Ryler and I have also joined a play group that's within the Mothers of Brentwood group I belong to. I helped in getting this group of moms together and I was the first to host our play date today. There's about 6 moms and 6 babies in our group ranging in ages from 6 weeks to 6 months. It's so cute to get all these babies in one room. It was a really fun afternoon at my house today. Ryler was so funny right when everyone arrived with their babies he decided to check out and sleep through everything until the very end. It will be fun when the kids are older and the can all play together.

Ryler is now 2 months old and had his 2 month check up today. He's growing so fast. He is a little over 24 inches long and 14lbs. 6oz. He is in the 97Th % for his weight and the 90Th % for his height. He also had his first set of vaccines today. It was so sad. He made the saddest cry when the nurse poked him and I saw tears in his eyes for the first time. So, So Sad!!

Tomorrow it's off to Grandma and Grandpa K's house. I think it's the first time my mom and Dad will have Ryler and my nephew Austin at the same time. Hopefully it's not to crazy because soon it will be 3 kids at their home when Stacie's "little baby girl" (that's my guess) arrives.

2008 ~ A Great Year!

As 2008 comes to an end I can only hope 2009 will be just as great of a year for our family! We had so much happen this year. It's really been a lot of fun! Well the first and biggest moment of the year was finding out in March that we were expecting a baby. So Exciting. Actually the whole pregnancy was exciting I never got sick, and it was a very uneventful pregnancy which is always good. We also chose not to find out if we had a boy or girl in the oven, so that left a big surprise for the November birth. Clayton couldn't have been any happier that we had a baby boy. And yes, he is a clone of his daddy. I was just the incubator, but I wouldn't have it any other way. He does have the Kohler blue eyes though, and I'm pretty sure they will stay that way. He was also born with all my dark hair, but other that that he looks just like Clay! A Big, healthy 8lb. 5oz. 21 inch BOY, born November 6! Ryler Todd is his name. On that day we were also very excited to find out that my older sister Stacie is expecting her 2ND child! She broke the big news in the delivery room! We are so happy for more baby's!!!

Lets back up a little bit. After finding out in March we were expecting we decided to take a "Baby moon". Not knowing if we will ever get another vacation after baby. So in May we took off to Miami, Florida and boarded a Royal Caribbean cruise ship to the Virgin Islands! For the most part the trip was fun. Clay loved the cruise, especially the surfing they had on board! I loved when we could see land! I now know that I get sea sick Very Bad! Luckily it didn't last the whole time. We visited St. Thomas, and St. Maartin.

I celebrated my 26Th Birthday in June, no big deal. My parents celebrated their 30Th Anniversary in July..CONGRATS! Clays parents both turned 60! And Clay celebrated his BIG 30Th birthday in August! I'm also proud to say my baby sister Kara got signed to CAL Berkley.

Clay and I have been enjoying our little baby so much and I must say Clay is such a good Daddy. He wants to do everything, and he is so proud of his "little man". Its really cute. I'm loving being mommy too!! Ryler is 7 weeks old and he is getting very chubby...I love it! He is a very quiet baby mostly because he just loves to sleep. Everyone says he is so mellow, which made it very easy for us to adjust to having a baby. He is such a good boy. He smiles now and talks his baby talk, and loves to watch the mobile on his swing.

That pretty much says it for 2008! I'll keep updates going on Ryler and how he gets cuter and cuter everyday!!
